Youth work

Harbour Churches has an active youth work team. All of our youth work volunteers are safely recruited and conform to the Church of England safeguarding policy and guidelines.

Our five pillars of mission TELL, TEACH, TEND, TRANSFORM and TREASURE are active in our youth work.

Ducklings

Ducklings a baby and toddler parents/carer group was one of our first TRANSFORM projects. Ducklings meets once a week during term-times and is a wonderful network for local families with preschool age children.

Littles

Littles is an informal, short Godly play service for children and their parents/carers that occurs once a month at St Peter & St Paul church in West Wittering. Developed by Montessori, the meaning of bible stories and scripture is discovered through wonder and play by children.

Connect, Explore & Tower Groups

CONNECT, EXPLORE & Tower Groups are social discussion groups for children and young people. The groups are led by our youth workers. CONNECT meets twice a month during two of our One Church Family Sunday services. EXPLORE and Tower Groups meet in local community spaces outside of school hours.

Redlands

Redlands

REDLANDS are our tech-free Christian Camps. Two camps run during summer weekends for primary school age children from years five and six, and also for young people in secondary school years seven to 11.

For a better understanding of REDLANDS, take a look at these wonderful videos from 2022.

We invite children and families to worship during our One Church Family Sunday services.

These services are presented on a screen through power point, without the use of service orders or hymn books.

If you are interested in speaking to us about a Life event such as a baptism or confirmation, please contact the parish office on wwbi.parishoffice@gmail.com

We have two wonderful faith schools in our benefice, Birdham Primary school, and West Wittering Parochial Church of England school. Both schools celebrate faith and learning throughout the academic year. At key points in the year, before Christmas and in July schools hold special services in West Wittering and Birdham churches. Our Vicar Jonathan frequently visits our local primary schools to talk with pupils and teaching staff.

If you would like to talk to us about faith school applications, please contact the parish office on wwbi.parishoffice@gmail.com
