Discovering Jesus in Holy Week

Discovering Jesus in Holy Week

Life can press in on us like the carnival crowd in the painting of Christ’s entry into Brussels, 1889by the Belgian artist James Ensor – a post-Impressionist work, parodying Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem celebrated on Palm Sunday.  Jesus is there somewhere  – but we lose him to all the other distractions…

Holy Week gives us the opportunity to find our way to Jesus as we mark our steps with his – not the carnival. And even if we are planning great family gatherings or setting off on an Easter break, we can still find a way to keep ‘on track’. Harbour Churches is offering rich and varied ways to enable you can walk the way of the cross – the way that leads to life in all its fullness. You are welcome to join us – and to invite others to walk as your companions too and discover Jesus anew.
