The love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord

Are we convinced? Maybe we feel something of that separation which Paul speaks of in his letter, written just 20 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus, to a fledgling Church family finding its feet in the largest, most sophisticated and dangerous city in the world of his day.

Dare we ask what would it be like if you and I were able to live in that complete union of divine love and so be agents of that transforming love for the world? Dare we ask what is preventing us and face up to it – deal with it…?

Over the coming summer months – Sunday by Sunday at our 10am One Church Service, we will be taking a deep dive into the heart of Romans to discover how Paul’s conviction is one that we can share.

In this Diocesan Year of the New Testament, we will preach thematically on what has been described as Paul’s greatest letter.

Please pray that these series of sermons will be inspired by God’s Spirit and so inspire us in seeking to be ‘good news’ as we seek to grow God’s Kingdom and show the love of God in Christ made real for those we are called to serve.

If you can, do read Romans 1. 13-25 and 2. 12-16 and the Gospel – Matthew 3.4-12 in readiness to begin the journey of discovery!

In His love

Jonathan
